30 Day Disney Challenge
Day 5
Your Favorite Hero:
Basil of Baker Street
I had A LOT of trouble with this category. That being said, I chose Basil because he is one of the very few Disney heroes who relies on cleverness instead of brute strength to win his battles. Although he can hold his own in a fight. Based off of the character of Sherlock Holmes (whose house he just happens to live under), Basil is just as witty and bull-headed, but manages to spend the entire movie trying to help save a little girl. Even the stubborn ones have hearts. :)
Honorable mention: Jim Hawkins from Treasure Planet. Jim shows us that we can all make mistakes and bad decisions, but that doesn't mean we can't correct them. Not to mention he spends his free time solar surfing, which is the second coolest sport next to Quidditch.
There were about 8 other characters I also wanted to add to this list as well.
Alright now it's your turn. Who's your favorite Hero?

So hard to choose. Hercules...quirky, clumsy, heart of gold. Russell from Up....stubborn, persuasive, heart of gold. Aladdin...sly, crafty, heart of gold. Woody...loyal, polite, heart of gold. I'm going with any Disney fella with a heart of gold. This should cover just about...all of 'em!
You know what, I would have been stumped except as soon as I saw the photo, I have to agree with Basil!! I grew up with literal Holmes for grandparents and c'mon, that just drives any kid to love anything Sherlock related, including Basil. Plus you add in his witty charm and array of antics, I'm hooked. Thanks for this question in particular, it makes me remember some fond childhood memories of Basil and therefore my family =)
I know! I hadn't seen the Great Mouse Detective in years but I knew the second I thought of him he would be my hero! I'm all for brains over brawn!
I think Peter Pan best fits this category. The fun witted boy who defends everyone against the evil Captain Hook. There is no lack of bravery and an unwilling need to defend the helpless. Sounds like a hero to me.
And who doesn't want to never grow up!
Does Jack Sparrow count as a hero??? I absolutely love me some Jack Sparrow! Even though he isn't animated! Heck! I am not even sure you can classify him as a hero! But you could definitely classify him as HOT! LOl!
