30 Day Disney Challenge
Day 3
Your Favorite Heroine:
Mulan
Mulan catches my attention in this category obviously not for her looks (even though she is beautiful). Mulan steals her father's armor, impersonates a soldier, and wrecks the Emperor's Palace, all while saving the entire Chinese Empire! My favorite part about her character is that Mulan doesn't do any of this for herself but for her father's honor.
Who is your favorite heroine?

My favorite heroine in Disney films is Dory from Finding Nemo. No single character in animated film has ever caused me to laugh the way Dory has. What does laughing have to do with being a heroine? Well, in my experience, a sense humor can get a person through just about anything. Marlin, on several occasions was ready to give up but Dory encouraged him to "just keep swimming." And it certainly didn't hurt matters that she could speak Whale.
Think I'll piggy back Tina here. Not only does Dory overcome adversity with a sense of humor & positivity, she helps Marlin to work through his fears and obstacles...rather than avoid or go around them. From Bruce the Shark (and friends) to the Jelly Fish .... not only do Dory and Marlin persevere, they make lifetime friends through each ordeal. I know I can conquer anything with a little help from my friends;))
Love Mulan :) For the heroine question I was thinking of adding either her or Pocahontas.
Pocahontas was my runner up. She is top notch when it comes to the heroine role as well. I thought Mulan trumped her just a bit though just because she managed to save an entire empire. It's kind of impressive.
I'd go with Ariel... she is a lighthearted Disney gal, but determined as ever if she wants to save pretty much everyone. PS, a 2nd place for me would be Nala, yes she is a lioness, but still, she puts Simba in his place and always has the interests of the pride at heart.
A new friend the other day told me she liked Ariel because she was curious, likes to explore things that interest her and reaches for her dreams!I think that explains her to a key.
I choose......Megara.
Megara is very atypical among the Disney lead females. I think most would not classify her as a Heroine, but according to Disney she plays enough of a heroic part to make her one.
From an art standpoint she is unlike other Disney drawn females. She has thick hair, an very slender waist, lengthy eyebrows, and a more angular stature.Different, but beautiful.
Who can resist her purple eyes!
