My Internship Since Then

Since Traditions everything has been somewhat of a blur. I know that in that time I have been going to parks and riding my favorite rides. We went through about a week of intense training in a classroom learning about almost every animal at Animal Kingdom because our job not only has us running the Kids Discovery Clubs, but also staffing Animal Positions as well. Basically if you have any sort of question about Animal Kingdom, you can usually look for someone dressed like me and we will be able to answer your questions for you. The training classes also taught us how to run the Kids Discovery Clubs, how to have a proper conversation and hook our guests in, how to deal with emergencies and use the radios and how to deal with uncomfortable situations.

The week after that we had shadow days where we were given a rotation and a team of us worked together to run our areas while our coordinators followed us to be sure we knew what we were doing and that we were presenting our guests with the correct information.

Later that week we had partner days. It basically sounds exactly like what it was. We had rotations once again and teamed up with a partner, just to be sure we were doing okay, while our coordinators bounced around to check on us.

This past Monday was my first day by myself and so far I think I have been doing great. I've been getting some great feedback from my coordinators and they even came to take pictures of me out in the parks with guests the other day.

I can tell you that I have had some awesome experiences with our guests. Some days I see guests all over the park and they want to take pictures with me and they take videos of me teaching their kids. It's great to think that I will be a part of their Disney memories forever!

Just the other day I was teaching a little boy about our Siamangs and how when the male sings to the females he will sing a different song for every female he sings to. This little boy then began to serenade all the woman that walked by with a different song. It was awesome!

At some point Mommy and Daddy left. :( I miss them but I know they are supporting me from afar and I don't go a day without talking to either of them. Thanks for that lovely dinner at Citrocos that you treated Arielle and I to by the way. It was delicious!

Also Auntie Tahlia and Anistion went home in that time as well. I am going to miss them but I know I will see them again soon. The other Lichtlins also joined us for a bit while I was getting settled in. I didn't see them much while they were here but again, I don't live that far away anymore.

So as you can see things have been hectic. If you have any questions for me please let me know. I am more than happy to answer anything I may have left out.

Things are good so far just busy but now that I am caught up shorter blog posts will be possible so I am going to try to post a couple times a week.

Love and miss you all!

Miss you so much! I love the experience you had with the little boy and his serenading! It reminds me of that one little boy in your group at Miami Seaquarium that you told me about. The one that always called you girls "sweetie love."
