So after Christmas I spent about a week going through lots of my stuff, visiting with friends and family before I wasn't going to see them for a while and packing up my car...Here was the result.
Can you believe I fit that much stuff into my car? Thank goodness for space saver bags!
Mommy and I started out at about 1:00 in the afternoon after making a quick stop at the storage unit that will be holding all of my belongings for a while. Now...anybody that knows my mom and I knows how much we love to argue. I can safely say that we both made it to Florida alive! LOL! We also didn't do too bad on our trip either. We spent about the first 3 hours of the trip arguing and that was about it. That must have gotten it out of our system. We stopped for dinner that night in a town I can't remember (I feel as though I should...oh well!). Any ways...I do remember that we ate at the Crazy Hibachi Company (yes this is a real restaurant), and it was delicious! Until we discovered that I locked the keys in the car. I know this doesn't come as a surprise to any of you...thankfully Mommy signed me up for AAA right before we left so we were back on the road in about an hour, after Mommy had a relaxing cocktail of course. We made it to Memphis that night where we stayed at a Holiday Inn Express.
The next morning we awoke with plans to go to the zoo in Memphis, however, we had not anticipated it to be 20 degrees. Unfortunately we packed for Florida so doing something outdoors was out of the question. After some breakfast and discussion we decided we were going to head straight for Thomasville, Georgia that day. A place we planned in our road trip from the beginning, and boy am I happy we did!
After driving all day we arrived at the most beautiful Bed and Breakfast ever! We quickly ran our bags to our room and made our way to Jonah's. An adorable little local restaurant with amazing food!
Let me show you just a few pictures of the amazing place we stayed at!
The next morning we woke up to a homemade hot breakfast. Warm biscuits with blackberry preserves and egg souffle. Yum!
After chatting with the innkeeper for a bit, Mommy and I headed upstairs, got ready and headed out to spend the day together. Our first stop was Wal-Mart because we were freezing and needed a sweater and a pair of close toed shoes. Then we headed to the Plantation in Thomasville. I can't even describe to you how beautiful it was, and we had our own little private tour. Let me just show you some photos.
After taking a tour of the plantation Mommy and I headed back into town where we stopped by to see the town's 325 year old Live Oak tree. This tree is so big that the town is literally doing everything they can to support its limbs because they are too heavy for the tree to hold up itself.
Mommy and I walked through the town a bit after that and did a little shopping for all the kiddos in Naples. Finally we headed over to the local cheese shop to try some wine and cheeses. Most of the cheeses were actually locally made right there in Thomasville. It was Yummy!

Finally we ended our night once again at Jonah's. We decided we needed to have it again because everybody in town said it was the best. Once again I'm glad we did. Mommy and I split a grouper dish and it might have been the best fish dish I have ever had!
When we got back to the inn we decided to grab the help and watch that together before we headed to bed. All in all it was a great bonding day for Mommy and I and we had a really good time. I was glad we were able to spend some good quality time together not in the car, LOL!, before I was dropped off in Orlando. The next morning we left super early from the inn and made our way towards Naples so we could be home before the kids got out of school!
Conclusion: Awesome road trip with Mommy!
Okay everybody. I know it has been a while but I have been busy beyond imagination. I am going to start with the amazing Christmas my parents gave me this year!

Let's start by saying that I didn't think I was going to be getting much this Christmas. My parents did a lot for me before I came here to Orlando. They bought me the professional clothes and shoes I needed for the days where I had to express the the "Disney Look" when I wasn't in costume. They bought me the Derma Blend make-up I need to cover up both the tattoo on my foot and the tattoo on the back of my neck for when I am "onstage". They fixed up my car so it would be ready for the long trip it took down here to Orlando, and they were about to pay for my entire trip down here.
So I assumed I was going to have a few small things under the tree and my present was going to be my trip down here and all of the things my parents had done for me before Christmas. I was pretty content with that, however my parents had some other plans in mind. Christmas morning we were opening up presents and the first thing I received that was a total surprise was my new Nook tablet.
Now i have to say...I never thought I would like a Nook. I always preached about how much I loved having a book in my hand, especially the way it smelled, and the feel of it as you flip the pages, however, I have not put down my Nook since I got it. Nor have I read this much in my entire life, and I am an avid reader. This was an amazing present and I couldn't have asked for more except it didn't end there...
A few presents later I opened up a box of Apple Jacks. My parent's then asked me if I liked Apple Jacks. I told them that I didn't really like them. They asked me if I was sure. And I told them yes I was pretty sure. Now I thought that my parents were trying to be cute and wrap some small things that I could use on my trip down to Florida or when I first got there. However my parents actually got me an Apple Jack! I couldn't believe it. Here is a picture of my new Mac Book Pro with a Jack Sparrow skin.
So as you can tell I was beyond excited. Now I have a nice new computer, that is free of any problems or complications my old one might have had. I am confident that this computer will see me through years to come and of course...encourage me to blog more since I absolutely LOVE it!! I spent the rest of Christmas day setting it up, along with my Nook of course. I want to say thank you to my wonderful parents who made this Christmas so special and gave me so much more than I deserved. I would also like to send out a big thank you to all my friends and family who either spent the holiday season with me before I left, and everything I got from them (including their support).
Again more to come later. There were actually be a lot coming in the next couple of days so keep and eye out for it. I am going to tell you all about my time with my mom during our road trip, my time with family in Naples, my first couple of days at Disney before my check-in, and of course...everything that has happened since check-in.
As we say in Animal Kingdom...Kwa herini!
