Updates...

So a few big things have happened since I last talked to everybody. The first is that I was able to meet one of the most important people in my field. Dr. Anne Savage is the head Conservation Biologist for Disney's Animal Kingdom and she took time out of her busy schedule to come and talk to all of the Presenters. I was so excited and nervous I was shaking!! She did take a picture with me which was so nice of her. Here is Dr. Savage and I with the beautiful Cotton-Top Tamarin dolls they make in Columbia to help support the animal itself. If you have never heard of a Cotton-Top Tamarin you should definitely look them up. They are adorable little 1 pound monkeys that can only be seen out in the wild in Northwest Columbia! They just went onto the critically endangered list so I encourage all of you to learn about them while you still can!

The next big thing that happened to me was that my bestie Ashley came into town! We had such a blast together! We went to Epcot, Islands of Adventure (I got to take Ashley to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter for the first time!), Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom. Then we spent the rest of the week hanging out after we both got done with work at her fancy hotel, The Peabody! Ashley and I had a great week! I missed her so much! And I was so happy I got the share those memories with her.

Right after Ashley left I had one more big thing happen to me. I had my interview for my next internship for Conservation Education over at the Animal Kingdom Lodge and at the Animal Kingdom. I am feeling very positive about my interview but I am going up against the best of the best so hopefully I stood out.

That's about all that's happened so far. I don't find out about the next internship until the end of April. Everybody cross your fingers for me! Miss all of you that I haven't seen in a while and thank you everyone for all the support you've given me so far.

Oh and P.S. everybody route for my Jayhawks! They are officially in the Final 4! Rock Chalk Jayhawk Go KU!!!!
